We are seeking a Business Owner (d/f/m) with extensive experience in managing business growth and steering product development in a B2B environment. This role combines full ownership of a B2B customer segment, including budget planning, strategic vision, and the ability to drive the success of critical growth initiatives. You will work cross-functionally, leading innovation, defining segment strategy, and ensuring alignment across Product, Sales, and Marketing, all while maintaining a focus on customer-centricity and market leadership.
How your role will look like:
- Full P&L Responsibility: Lead your segment’s financial performance, including budget planning, financial forecasting, and reporting. Manage business cases and ensure commercial success.
- End-to-end Responsibility: Ensure clear communication and alignment between Product, Sales, Marketing, and other teams. Lead the end-to-end process from ideation to go-to-market, ensuring all stakeholders are on the same page.
- Strategic Vision and Growth Initiatives: Define the overarching vision for the segment, visualise your ideas, lead the most critical growth initiatives, and align strategies with corporate goals. Drive innovation to capitalize on new market opportunities.
- Go-to-Market and Pricing: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish segment pricing and go-to-market strategies that support growth and market positioning.
- Product Development Methodology: Apply proven product and project methodologies to support on discovery, validating assumptions, and guiding new features towards Product-Market Fit.
- Customer-Centricity and Market Leadership: Focus on customer needs, ensuring that your segment remains market-driven and positioned as a leader. Constantly assess the competitive landscape to maintain an optimal market position.
- Innovation and Scaling: Identify opportunities for product scaling, leveraging market trends and data insights. Drive the overarching integration of potential Partnerships and M&A deals.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Guide and mentor a cross-functional business segment, offering support and strategic insights to foster professional growth and ensure alignment with segment objectives.
- Collaboration with C-Level: Work closely with C-level executives to influence strategic decisions, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and providing insights that drive business outcomes.
What you need to succeed:
- Experience in owning a customer segment or business unit with full P&L accountability.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on results and innovation.
- Expertise in product development and project management methodologies, with the ability to discover, validate, organize, and scale products efficiently.
- Ability to validate and define business models
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Sales, and Marketing.
- Strong analytical skills for market and competitor analysis to ensure optimal positioning.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in collaborating with C-level executives to drive strategic decisions.
- Fluency in German is required, as our customers communicate in German.
